Weekly Tittle

The Weekly Tittle is an exercise designed to focus your attention on a specific space, aspect, or challenge of decluttering and organizing your home. We assign a new tittle in each webcast/podcast, then check on your progress the following week.

Glitter and Glue and Buttons and Beads

In keeping with today’s art and craft room theme, this week’s assignment is to examine and evaluate a subset of your creative stash. We’d like you to revisit your craft space, equipment, or supplies, then apply one (or all) of these filters to reduce the volume:

  • Are there materials that have been stored or buried for a long time? Bring them out into the light of day and consider whether they still inspire you creatively.
  • Do you have supplies that you used at the start of your craft, when you were still learning, that are no longer appropriate to your skill and interest level?
  • Is there a category of material or medium that’s grown out of proportion to how much you use it?
  • Is there a supply or tool of which you have a lot of duplicates?

If you’re not a crafter or artist, you can still try applying these suggestions to any collection or large stash of items in your space.
