Homework Assignment
For 2021, we’ve introduced a new segment tentatively called the “Homework Assignment.” (We’re still looking for a snappy title for this ongoing segment. See Contest below.)
Space in Focus: The Medicine Cabinet
One of the ongoing themes of our homework homework assignments will be to encourage you to take a close look at one particular area of your home. For our first “space in focus” assignment, we’d like you to take a deep dive into a very small space: your medicine cabinet.
We’d like for you to get into your master (or most-used) bathroom and answer these questions:
- Are there any medications that have passed their expiration dates? Dispose of them safely.
- While you’re at it, evaluate the age of any over-the-counter medications or first-aid products in there. What can you eliminate?
- Could you make better use of the space by inserting some shallow containers to hold the small stuff?
- What do you use every day? Can you move your “back stock” somewhere else?
